One thing that touches me

I have read about this for a few years now. In the article they talk about how people are disrespectful. I think it's a damn shame that people can't let anything remain alive with poetry and signifigance in this world.
R.I.P. E A POE
I really feel let down when I read stuff about how stupid people are. Like, what would they accomplish by unmasking the visitor.
Can't they leave it alone? Why must these people have no mystery?
It bothers me.
So while this one act of wordless respect really touches me, the reaction to it makes me want to touch the idiots, with my fist or something.

` I think the problem is that there are far too many people in the world - too much interference among different people with different interests.
` Perhaps if the world were a smaller place, there might be fewer rubbernecks like that.
` ...or whatever word the kids use these days.

Yeah, I am all for mandatory sterilization at birth. Who's with me?

don't worry amber! i bet it was just a bunch of harmless teens - out to have some fun at another person's expense!!! Chalk it up to being a kid 'n stuff!

Like what happened at the Christmas Village in Parkville - a tradition of mine sine 1995! I tried to find the article on it, but to no avail! I took Heather and A-ron by it jus this year, but it was turned off. The next night i went to Christmas Village (which is some guy's yard decorated a full half and acre with christmas decorations which people come with their kids from all over just to walk the yard and look at the lights!) but when i was there, it said 'Due to vandals, this will be our last year'! i couldn't believe it!
Why do a few stupid kids always seem to ruin it for the rest of us?
Were we that jerky when we were young?
probably. All kids are jerks.
manatory sterilization HO!!!!

No we weren't. I mean, we may have put shopping carts on peoples bushes, moved their trash cans around, MAYBE even open the door to their gas tank, but the difference would be if we had spray painted their bushes, set the trashcans on fire and poured sugar in the gas tank. We weren't destructive by any means.
It's not even that fine of a line.
Most people just suck, suck, suck.

NOOOOO...the last year for Christmas Village?!? We wanted to go back to see it but never made it. Now you are trying to say I will NEVER be able to experience it?????

That was pretty sad that those poeople just had to see who was leaving the rose & couldn't let the person pay tribute in their anonymousity that has been passed down a generation. People need to learn to mind their own business...

I won't talk about the things I did as a child.

I'm not a big fan of Poe either. He's too dark and evil.

` Oooh ! Dark and evil!!

` I didn't cause trouble for others as a kid so much as I beat myself up a lot.

` And no, I'd say that mandatory sterilization isn't the way to go: Perhaps making it culturally unfashionable to have children is....

` You know, what's funny is that someone had a 'Christmas Village' around Medina, Ohio! Those things must be everywhere.
` Of course, here we have a tourist trap called Levenworth, which is a very overcommercialized, quaint-looking European 'village' that thrives and becomes very crowded around Christmas time.
` It's pretty sickening.

` Oh yeah, and... new posts!
